S’mores Dip

August 10, 2015

The ranking of my favorite things in life are as follows: S’mores > Puppy Breath > Hugs > Jurassic World > Coffee. And guess what? Today is National S’mores Day!

S’mores are unequivocally my favorite dessert, and I’ve (honestly) had this day marked on my calendar for some time. I texted my closest friends to give them a heads up that this day was approaching, and their responses were something along the lines of: “Great,” “Jasmine, it’s 3 in the morning,” and “Who is this?” so I could tell they were all equally excited!

But to me, there’s nothing better than those sweet honey graham crackers with melted chocolate and warm, gooey marshmallows. And to celebrate, we made this easy s’mores dip in a cast iron skillet.  All you need are chocolate chips, large jet-puffed marshmallows, graham crackers for dipping, and a cold glass of milk to wash it down.

I hope you enjoy!

I’ve been seeing lots of talk of s’mores today what with it being their national day. Being an ignorant British person had to look up what they are but they sound pretty great! Just need to find out what graham crackers are now…

Definitely not ignorant!! Graham crackers are a sweet, honey flavored cracker and s’mores are an American dessert usually made around campfires. You roast a large marshmallow and then put the marshmallow on top of a piece of chocolate, and make a “sandwich” using two pieces of graham crackers! It’s pretty gooey, but really, really good! πŸ™‚

Sounds very good indeed! In my experience any dessert that is gooey tends to be a winner, sometimes even when it wasn’t supposed to be.

This looks so yum and ridiculously easy! Thanks for sharing… Have to disagree on the puppy breath thing though. S’more before puppy breath? Really? tsk πŸ™‚
