Last weekend contained elements of all my favorite things.
- My sweet friend Kristina drove in from Dallas to have a girls’ weekend.
- Our first night in, we sat in onesies, ate chili dogs, mac and cheese, drank wine, and talked for hours. If you can have a serious conversation with a grown woman sitting in a onesie while eating a hot dog, I’d say you’re destined to be the best of friends.
- We walked a total of 6 miles around town – to a local coffeeshop for breakfast, to a market, to a park for a Jazz & Blues fest, and then took Sadie out for a walk.
- We painted our nails and watched a movie with
Bradley Coopera lot of actors that were equallydreamytalented. - We spent 8 hours out on the patio at a Buffalo Wild Wings watching college football.
Eight. Eight entire hours in the same chair watching three different football games (Notre Dame, Texas Tech, and Alabama). By the time the last game rolled around, we were still stress eating.
You’d think by now I’d be sick of wings, but an entire week has flown by and I’m ready to dive back into football food for Saturday’s Gameday! But I decided to try my hand at making a “lighter” version of the traditional wing by baking them instead of deep-frying.
The result? Same finger-lickin’ good wings, but with half the calories!
